Public Peeing

Jack just peed outside in our cul-de-sac, which is visible to pretty much the whole college. When confronted on that fact that this was inappropriate, he very innocently said, 'Daddy does it'.

About the name

During these early years of parenting, I feel that I am constantly giving my sons and daughter encouragement to try something new and then immediately turning around and telling them to stop doing something else. This 'One Thumb Up, One Foot Down' approach of life isn't that far from how my own life feels at times - movements forward and backwards, highs and lows - and this blog is my attempt to share some of these moments with you.
